World Health Edmonton has been accountable to Edmontonians’ fitness results for over 15 years. However, it’s no secret that not everyone who joined our health clubs reached their fitness and wellness goals. In fact, there is a whole slew of people who join, run on the treadmill for 30 days, don’t get the results they are looking for, get discouraged – and eventually decide to quit. It breaks our hearts…
What we know to be true is this:
90% of people who actually achieve their fitness goals participate in some form of professionally led programming.
For many people, this might be group exercise programming. For others, it might be personal training. Group exercise doesn’t provide enough strength training for some people and the costly nature of personal training can often times make it difficult to continue doing long term.
That’s why we decided to create Team45 – World Health’s Signature Small Group Personal Training Program. What we’re finding is that our members who join Team45 are more motivated, consistent and actually ENJOY exercise when including these workouts, a minimum of 1x per week. Ultimately, it provides structure, consistency, & programming for a very affordable price – $20/session.
What is it?
The Team45 Program consists of:
- One weekly Small Group Personal Training session
- A 45 minute full body workout coached by a personal trainer, with a warm-up, cool-down and a couple of fun team challenges. (Challenging activities that require teamwork because we understand that if you don’t participate in something that you enjoy, you won’t stick with it.)
- A maximum of up to 6 people – normally these teams involve the same people so the teamwork and comradery is amazing for both encouragement and accountability – you might even make a few friends!!
- Weekly Workout Program
- Each week you will be emailed a new workout program to complete on your own. This provides you with additional support and accountability. We want you using our facilities! We are not in the business of taking your money and hoping you don’t attend.
The workouts are geared to improve the five key components of physical fitness.
- Muscular Strength
- Muscular Endurance
- Cardiovascular Endurance
- Body Composition
You might be thinking “what the heck does that mean”? It simply means you will be stronger, feel better, improve your heart health, eliminate aches and pains, and lose body fat!
THE BEST PART about the workout is that it’s SCALABLE. People of all fitness and skill levels will feel successful and challenged with this workout. Whether it’s your first time at the gym, or you’re a seasoned veteran, it can be adapted so you can experience the best workout possible for YOU!
